Hey CFW guys & gals!
We are gearing up for this year’s famous Gun Show (Guys Night) and Barbelles (Ladies Night). The Gun Show will throw down on Friday, September 26th ; and the ladies will take it to the mats on Saturday, September 27th. Both events will begin at 7pm and will include WODding, food (provided), beverage (bring your own) and fellowship (you know, talking). Not only are we going to have an awesome time of working out and hanging together as a family, this year we have the added bonus of giving back to the community as well!
The guys will be going hard for the local organization No Brother Fights Alone that supports fireman that have fallen ill or injured outside of the job and need financial assistance. We will have some sweet NBFA pint glasses available for purchase the night of the event and will be taking up an additional donation night of as well. Not to be outdone, our lovely ladies will lace up their best WOD shoes for Jesus Said Love. Jesus Said Love is a ministry that shares the “revolutionary love of Christ with women in the commercial sex industry by awakening hope and empowering change.” They are the hands and feet of Christ loving and building relationships with women who might otherwise fall through the cracks. As a direct result of this ministry women have realized their true worth and stepped away from the sex industry as well as some women who were being abused and taken advantage of found freedom. The kingdom impact of this ministry is far greater than we will ever know this side of heaven.
