In 12 days my bro and I will head out on our 2nd West Texas Bike Tour. We’ll be riding from Waxahachie to Lubbock in 5 days. It’s a total distance of about 365 miles. It’s going to be so much FUN!! I am PUMPED!
You know what’s the worst part of the ride? Hitting the edge of the Palo Pinto mountains and going up.

The uphill grind is a suffer-fest. The worst part is when you’ve climbed for a couple of miles straight toward a peak and as you crest it, you see it continues on up. At that point, you put your head down and keep spinning.
That sounds a lot like life. There are times when you’ve got a battle ahead or a mountain to climb. You’ve no choice but to keep spinning. Keep advancing. Moving ahead even when things only seem to get darker.
That’s when it happens.
Suddenly, you’re coasting. Going faster and faster with very little effort. You’ve made it up. Busted through. Things on the other side are even better that you could have imagined! All you had to do was keep steady and work through the process.
I can tell you this- the downhill is so much sweeter after the up!
Keep grinding and coasting my friends,
Chris
