You may not have a choice about your position every hour of the day but even then you can work to gain some benefits of movement. Here are some strategies to improve your health if you’re a commuter and/or desk jockey.
- Stand up regularly and walk around.
- Walk or exercise on your lunch break.
- Perform desk stretches (they’re out there- Google it)
- Drink plenty of water.
- Exercise before or after work.
Life is about balance. If you’re sitting for extended periods of your day, adding movement is a must for your body. You’ll feel better and be more productive because of it.
